If we all take the time to find out where our heritage
comes from, we have a better understanding of each other
as a human being.
And if we all have a better understanding of each other
as human beings, we can all live together in more peaceful
and harmonious neighbourhoods, which is exactly what we
have in Toronto, the largest multi-cultural city in the
world.

COMMUNITY |
 |
people would like to
see us take more ownership of our problems in our
neighbourhoods. |
 |
new ways to foster
local advisory committees. |
 |
the importance of positive
community involvement in all aspects of city life.
|
 |
engaging the citizens
in the planning and development of our city. |
 |
empowering everyone
to become part of the decision making process. |
 |
putting the destiny
of our city back into the hands of the people, their
valuable input to be utilized in the council chamber
to make decisions immediately. |
|
| |
TRANSIT
|
 |
transit service in Ward 38 as citizens we’re
fed up with the declining transit service, this
all adds to the growing congestion on our highways
and streets. |
 |
More 24 hour service ought
to be implemented throughout our Wards. |
 |
we need more Subway Stations in Scarborough at Markham Rd. and Eglinton Ave., Markham Rd. and the 401 Area as well as Ellesmere Rd. and Morningside Ave. plus Lawrence Ave. E. & Morningside Ave. |
|
PUBLIC REALM
|
 |
this constitutes all
the elements of daily urban life that we’ve
become reliant on, encompassing education, health
care, social services, transit, water and sewer
facilities, arts and culture, public safety, justice,
libraries, streets, sidewalks, public spaces, etc. |
 |
while working together
as communities, these elements can be prioritized
and tackled one by one until they’re addressed,
again less talking and more action. |
|
SUMMARY
|
 |

heard but acknowledged and motions are brought forward
to enhance all aspects of TORONTO the good immediately. |
