If we all take the time to find out where our heritage comes from, we have a better understanding of each other as a human being.

And if we all have a better understanding of each other as human beings, we can all live together in more peaceful and harmonious neighbourhoods, which is exactly what we have in Toronto, the largest multi-cultural city in the world.

CARAVAN
as Past President of the Oldest Multi-Cultural Festival in North America (one of 6 events of Municipal Significance of the City of Toronto). I’ve had the honour to speak with most of the leaders of the various communities in our city.
during my tenure, I’ve also dealt with all levels of government from the Prime Minister’s office down to the Mayor’s office. I believe I have the tenacity to deal with bureaucracy as it bogs down from each individual office and the energy to write the letters and make the phone calls to get the answers, plus channeling the correspondence into action.

IOV

as a member of the IOV (International Organization of Folk Art), I’ve had the opportunity to travel and speak with individuals and committees from 34 countries.
I’ve also gained valuable insight into customs, dance, cuisine, music and the political process from the nations of the world.

KPYO

as a father I feel that it’s important for our children to have after school and weekend programs free of charge.
we as taxpayers ought to have free activities at all of our community centres for our children first and foremost.
I’ll take that one step further to have our public and high schools made available after school hours to facilitate free programming for our children.
KPYO is a points program solely for kids between the ages of 6 to 18 to encourage their participation in free activities, they’re rewarded with self esteem, not to mention being able to now earn those runners or electronic gizmos with their own efforts, not stealing, bullying or running drugs.
